National Service and Engagement Faculty Travel Grants Program

The Provost’s Office has launched a new grants program in collaboration with the Office of Government Relations to help faculty share their expertise with elected officials and federal agencies.

The National Service and Engagement Faculty Travel Grants Program offers support to faculty for service and engagement at the national level, where travel funding is not otherwise provided. The award covers transportation and lodging with award amounts typically less than $1,000. Supported activities include providing congressional testimony, national leadership service, or involvement in federal advisory committees.

Within one month of the travel date, grant recipients must submit a brief summary of the outcome of the testimony or meeting (e.g., topics of discussion, policy recommendations), as well as any potential opportunities for future engagement to vice provost for academic affairs Marisa Pagnattaro.
