Call for nominations: University Council and standing committees

The Faculty Senate is requesting nominations for upcoming vacancies on the University Council (UC), as well as many of the standing committees. Listed below please find the vacancies, eligibility, and names of the individuals rolling out of these positions.

Please email all nominations, clearly indicating the position of interest, to Faculty Senate President Chris Mojock no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21.

  • University Council (3 vacancies): Laura Bierema, Kevin Burke, Paula Schwanenflugel
    • Three-year appointments, any member of faculty is eligible
  • University Council Committees (6 vacancies)
    • Three-year appointments (2020–2023)
    • Even if your term on UC ends prior to 2023, you will remain on the committee
  • President’s Faculty Advisory (1 vacancy): Jennifer Lindstrom
    • You do not have to be member of UC
    • Minimum rank of associate professor or professor
  • Curriculum Committee (1 vacancy): Morgan Faison
    • You do not have to be member of UC
    • Must hold terminal degree in your discipline
  • Faculty Admissions Committee (1 vacancy): Rose Chepyator-Thomson
    • You do not have to be member of UC, but must be tenure track
  • University Libraries Committee (1 vacancy): Jennifer Graff
    • You do not have to be member of UC
  • Human Resources Committee (2 vacancies): Rose Chepyator-Thomson, Ruth Harman
    • Must be member of UC and elected by council reps of the College of Education
