Kudos: Everett receives 2019 Alan Purves Award
Congratulations to Sakeena Everett, an assistant professor in the Department of Language and Literacy Education, who received the 2019 Alan Purves Award for her article, “Untold Stories: Cultivating Consequential Writing with a Black Male Student through a Critical Approach to Metaphor,” which appeared in the August 2018 issue of Research in the Teaching of English (volume 53, issue 1).
The Purves Award recognizes one article from the previous year’s volume judged to be the most likely to have the greatest impact on educational practice.
