Workgroups for reconceptualizing teacher education

Based on insights gleaned from our Town Hall on reconceptualizing teacher education, you are invited to join teams to further the discussion around key topics from that Town Hall. Mirroring the framework that is used for the Innovation in Teaching and Technology program in the College of Education, faculty and staff are encouraged to apply to teams focused on the following areas:

  • Infusing social and emotional learning and classroom guidance across the curriculum
  • Infusing diversity, equity, and inclusion across the curriculum
  • Fostering pipelines for teachers, counselors, leaders, and psychologists
  • Induction supports for teachers and other school personnel
  • What does a curriculum and instruction master’s degree (online or hybrid, not large scale) look like?

Individuals selected for these teams can access a $500 draw account for their engagement. Applications may be submitted through this Qualtrics form and are due by Friday, Feb. 7 for full consideration.

Faculty who initially indicated interest on the summary GoogleDoc following the Town Hall should resubmit their interest in this current application. Questions about this opportunity can be addressed to Stacey Neuharth-Pritchett or Denise Spangler.
