The Southeast Philosophy of Education Society (SEPES) invites you to participate in its 72nd annual meeting. SEPES has a long tradition of providing a friendly forum for dialogue and the exchange of philosophical ideas related to a broad variety of educational topics, both within and beyond the social foundations of education.

We welcome graduate students, practitioners, and faculty, and we encourage participants to engage with philosophical ideas concerning education at various levels. Possible topics include, but are not limited to, the following: the relationship of school to society; democracy and education; issues of diversity and commonality in education; neoliberalism, neoconservatism, and conservative modernization in education; education in the Anthropocene; contemporary theory in education; analyses of history or policy in education; and methodological approaches in educational research.

Additionally, a pre-conference meet-and-greet will be held on Thursday, Feb. 20 from 5-6:30 p.m. at Little King’s Shuffle Club in downtown Athens.

Visit the SEPES website for more information on the conference program, registration, and conference-related activities.
