Spencer Foundation announces new COVID-19-related special grant cycle

The Spencer Foundation is issuing a call for proposals for a COVID-19-related special grant cycle to support education research projects that seek to understand the rapid shifts in education during this time of crisis and change.

As with other Spencer grants, this program is “field-initiated.” We will accept applications on a rolling basis with budgets up to $50,000 for projects ranging from one to three years. We will review applications received by May 18 and June 8.

Our goal for this program is to support rigorous, intellectually ambitious, and technically sound research that is relevant to the most pressing questions and compelling opportunities in education during these times.

Please note: The COVID-19 related research grants are distinct from our regular small grant program. We will begin accepting the next round of small grant applications May 1.

Details on this funding can be found by reviewing the program guide found on the program website. Please contact Grace Thornton, Paul Davis, or Tony Hall if you are interested in pursuing this funding.
