UGA Office of Research presents Research Matters Live

The UGA Office of Research team in collaboration with others has launched a series of live Zoom presentations around timely topics for UGA researchers. The series, Research Matters Live, builds off of the office’s monthly funding opportunities newsletter. Below is an upcoming event:

Research award administration during COVID-19

  • Date: Friday, June 19
  • Time: 11 a.m.
  • Presenters: Jill Tincher, executive director of Sponsored Projects Administration; Cathy Cuppett, director of Sponsored Projects Pre-Award

If you are the contact principal investigator on a sponsored project, your project has probably been impacted by COVID-19. Your research may have been delayed due to non-essential research occurring remotely and/or you may have incurred unanticipated expenses. The federal government has acknowledged the impacts of COVID-19 and provided universities with flexibilities and guidance on how to administer awards and their technical reporting. These pertain to progress reports, no-cost extensions, cost extensions, and supplements. Join us for this session to learn strategies to manage the impacts of COVID-19 and navigate technical reporting and award administration more effectively.

Please register for this webinar. Limited to 100 attendees.
