UGA Libraries providing book pickups for all
UGA Libraries are now providing book pickups for everyone at UGA, including faculty, staff, and students.
To make a request:
- Search for your book in the GIL Find catalog and click on the title
- After you sign in (above the location/call number), click on the blue request link that appears
Please note: This service is only for books that are not available online in GIL. We can only pull books from the Main Library, Science Library, and Repository. Books from the Curriculum Materials Library (CML), Music Library, Art Library, and Owens Library are not available due to building closure. To begin with, this service will be limited to five active requests at a time. Once you check out, those books are no longer considered active requests, and you may request more. We will reassess based on workload and staffing.
Pickups: After you receive an email that your book is ready, visit the Main Library for pickup Tuesday-Thursday, 1-4 p.m. There is a sign on the front door with a number to call, and a staff member will come out with the book. Make sure to bring your UGA ID.
For more information, please visit the UGA Libraries’ website. Currently, the CML is still closed. Please contact Carla Buss for research assistance.
