Online exam proctoring for fall 2020

This fall, instructors may add alternative studentā€paid online proctoring solutions (such as ProctorU) to their fall 2020 course as long as that information
appears in Athena before the first day of class. Faculty cannot simply add this information to their syllabi later and require students to pay an additional fee for online proctoring.

To add an alternative proctoring solution, instructors must work with their course scheduler to add notification of the charge for online proctoring to Athena before the first day of class and also notify students directly through eLC or email, or both. If the notification is not loaded into
Athena by Thursday, Aug. 20, instructors cannot require students to pay for the additional fee for proctoring.
