Mathematics education student Trevyn Gray always knew he wanted to be a teacher. He loves math and was captain of the math team in high school. When other students kept asking him for help with the subject, he realized his talent for explaining mathematical concepts.

“I want to make my classroom very interactive, make sure everybody is included, and that nobody is left behind,” said Gray, who is in UGA’s Honors Program. “I want to make sure my classroom is not judgmental.”

A lot of what Gray does at UGA is based on his high reward, low risk formula for success. He is involved in various organizations, including UGA’s Black Male Leadership Society, Young Black Kings, an ambassador with Georgia Daze, a student ambassador for the College, and more.
