NSF EHR Core Research program applications due Oct. 1
The National Science Foundation’s EHR Core Research (ECR) program invites proposals for fundamental research (basic research or use-inspired basic research) that advances knowledge in one or more of the three research tracks: STEM learning and learning environments, broadening participation in STEM fields, and STEM workforce development.
The ECR program places emphasis on the rigorous development of theory and accumulation of knowledge to inform efforts that address challenges in STEM interest, learning, and participation, for all groups and all ages in formal and informal settings. This emphasis includes research on advancing evaluative methodologies to support research efforts funded through ECR. ECR research projects may fall in or cut across any of the research tracks.
Researchers will submit to one of three program types (level I, II, or III) determined by the maturity of the proposed work, the size and scope of the empirical effort, and the capacity of the team to conduct the proposed research. Synthesis and conference projects are also supported.
Please review the program solicitation to gain a full understanding of this program.
Contact the Office of Research and Graduate Education’s pre-award team if you are interested in submitting a proposal to this program. Paul Davis, Tony Hall, and Grace Thornton look forward to working with you.
