NSF Advancing Informal STEM Learning proposals due Jan. 12

The Advancing Informal STEM Learning (AISL) program seeks to advance the evidence-based understanding of the design and development of STEM learning opportunities for the public in informal environments.

The program provides multiple pathways for broadening access to and engagement in STEM learning experiences, advancing innovative research on and assessment of STEM learning in informal environments, and engaging the public of all ages in learning STEM in informal environments.

The AISL program released a new program solicitation for 2020, which highlights the six types of projects supported:

  • Pilots and feasibility studies
  • Research in service to practice
  • Innovations in development
  • Broad implementation
  • Literature reviews, syntheses, or meta-analyses
  • Conferences

Program proposals are due Tuesday, Jan. 12. Please contact Grace Thornton, Paul Davis, or Tony Hall in the Office of Research and Graduate Education if you are interested in pursuing this funding.
