October SRG4U: Fall reminders and fun
The Staff Representative Group (SRG) held its monthly meeting on Thursday, Oct. 15. We want to remind staff that benefits open enrollment will take place Oct. 21- Nov. 6. This is an active enrollment year, which means action will be required on your part to ensure benefits and associated costs match our circumstances (i.e. tobacco use, FSA, family certification, review of beneficiary information).
The Staff Representative Group invites all Mary Frances Early College of Education staff to participate in our Zany Zoomtopia event!

- Location: Zoom (meeting information will be distributed to those who register)
Staff members will have the opportunity to compete in a zoom-tastic scavenger hunt and other fun competitions! Once you register, stay tuned for more information on a surprise CostZoom On the Spot contest on the day of the event. Don’t worry, you can participate whether you’re working from home or the office. We hope you are able to join for prizes, laughter, and virtual fun! Please register by Friday, Oct. 30 to participate.
In addition, we want to see what EduDawg has been up to during quarantine! We challenge staff to collaborate within their department to create a 1-minute and 30-second PowerPoint or video presentation featuring EduDawg and his socially-distanced adventures. The department with the most creative presentation wins! Please submit your entries to Laurie Dollner by Friday, Oct. 30 to be considered. For inspiration, watch the adventures of LLED’s EduDawg on YouTube. If your department does not have an EduDawg, please contact Tiffany Haag or Haley Watts to pick one up (one EduDawg per department).
We also want to remind you to look for collection barrels for the 2020 Hunger Bowl collection supporting the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia. They have made several adjustments on their website to allow donors to grocery shop virtually or donate online. Designated collection areas will be marked in each building later this month.
