Kudos: Alumna named Montana Superintendent of the Year

Laurie Barron (B.S.Ed. ’96), an immediate past president of the Horace Mann League, was named the 2020 Montana Superintendent of the Year. Barron is the superintendent of the Evergreen School District in Montana. Previously, she taught English at Newnan High School from 1996-2002 before serving as an assistant principal at Arnall Middle School and principal at Smokey Road Middle School. She moved to Montana in 2013.

The Montana Association of School Superintendents, in collaboration with the American Association of School Administrators, annually recognizes and rewards outstanding leadership in superintendency.
