Kudos: Doctoral candidate published in APA's Trauma Psychology News

Rebekah Ingram Estevez (M.Ed. ’16), a doctoral candidate in the Department of Counseling and Human Development Services, was recently published in the American Psychological Association’s Trauma Psychology News fall issue on page 16. The article, “Working with Trauma in Trans and Non-Binary (TNB) Communities: Brief Review of a Burgeoning Literature Base," explores the fact that little research exists regarding the TNB communities.

Previously, Ingram Estevez received the Cynthia de las Fuentes Dissertation Award. Her dissertation aims to explore the resilience processes cultivated and used by the Latinx TNB community to resist and thrive in the face of stressors that stem from the intersection of racism and trans-prejudice.
