Save the date: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Conference scheduled for spring 2021

  • Date: Monday-Wednesday, March 22-24

Please mark your calendars and join us for the 16th annual Mary Frances Early College of Education Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Conference scheduled for Monday-Wednesday, March 22-24, 2021!

The DEI Conference will take place virtually and participants will explore themes of trauma, healing, and collective action through a series of online workshops, panels, presentations, and featured addresses over the course of three days.

Consistent with previous conferences, the goal of the 2021 DEI Conference is to foster dialogue and collaborative learning to build a more just and equitable environment in our College and community. This current moment calls for creativity, adaptability, and accountability as we navigate a global pandemic and heed the call of social movements across the world to name and uproot systemic racism and anti-Blackness while envisioning socially just alternatives. By focusing on collective intersectional healing in our education and helping professions settings, we can build our capacity to create a liberatory future.

Information on call for proposals, reviewers, and registration will be coming soon!

Please view the conference webpage or email the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion if you have any questions.
