From the Dean: Professional Standards Commission Review

The Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) team concluded its review of our self-study, addendum, and site visit on Tuesday and provided a preliminary report (which will be finalized after review and endorsement by the GaPSC). I am pleased to report that all 47 of our educator preparation programs and the College as a whole met all standards with no areas for improvement. The review team also recognized two areas of strength that included our continued partnerships as well as the quality (construction, reliability, and validity) of our assessments.

I want to offer my gratitude and appreciation to Stacey Neuharth-Pritchett, who has led the development and refinement of our quality assurance system, including ensuring that our assessments are valid and reliable. I also appreciate the work Paige Tompkins and Anne McDonald put into our continuous improvement process, partnership building, and the materials for this review. Thanks also to other staff in the Office of Academic Programs, program coordinators, and faculty and staff across four colleges who contributed to a successful review.

Congratulations and thank you to everyone involved in this seven-year review!
