In this session, teacher education faculty and instructors in elementary education, English education, science education, and social studies education will discuss the roles feminism and feminist thought play in their work in teacher education.

From the assignments they create to course design, pedagogical approaches, text/media selections, the language they integrate as normative classroom discourse, how they anticipate and handle a backlash to the “F” word, and both the implicit and explicit introduction of feminism(s) to their students, these feminist teacher educators share their experiences and insights. Participants who join the session will be encouraged to suggest questions for the panelists.
