Dillard to present AERA's 2021 Wallace Distinguished Lecture on April 11

Cynthia Dillard, the Mary Frances Early Professor of Teacher Education in the Department of Educational Theory and Practice, will present the American Educational Research Association’s 2021 Wallace Foundation Distinguished Lecture online.

Drawing from a seven-year study of Black women teachers and teacher educators, the lecture will highlight the need to acknowledge and (re)member the powerful spirit of Black women in education. Dillard’s research interests include critical teacher education, spirituality in education, and African/African American feminist studies.
