New feature in GIL-Find; Participate in at-home Radio Transcriptathon Project

There is a new discovery feature in GIL-Find, UGA Libraries online catalog. Now, when you search for books and click on a result, a side panel will open with suggestions associated with the title you originally searched. If you click the “more” button at the end of the suggestions, another list will appear with author suggestions.

Additionally, the UGA Libraries are seeking volunteers for an at-home Radio Transcriptathon Project. During the free virtual event, volunteers will correct computer-generated transcripts of radio programs nominated for the Peabody Awards, a prestigious award similar to the Pulitzer Prize for excellence in broadcasting administered by UGA’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. The broadcasts range from the 1940s to the end of the 20th century.
