Amazing student Kevin Nwogu featured on UGA's homepage

From welcoming first-year students via virtual orientation sessions during a pandemic to interning at Google, Kevin Nwogu, a senior receiving a B.B.A. in management from the Terry College of Business and a minor in leadership in student affairs from the Mary Frances Early College of Education, has made the most of his time at the University of Georgia.

One of his favorite UGA experiences was meeting Mary Frances Early, the University’s first African American graduate and the College’s namesake.

“It was such a humbling experience to see her humility and grace,” he said. “She spoke to students and shared her experience attending the University at a time when students of color were not always welcomed. We stand on the shoulders of giants, and I’m forever grateful for the opportunities she helped to pave for me and the thousands of other Black students who have walked through the doors of UGA.”
