Amazing student Zerian Hood featured on UGA's homepage

Zerian Hood (B.S.Ed. ’23), an undergraduate student in the Department of Kinesiology, is the first in his family to attend college. Now, he aims to be a source of inspiration and knowledge to other first-generation students.

Often juggling several jobs, Hood currently works at the UGA Visitors Center, UGA Health Center, and Under Armour Brand House. A former football player, he hopes to become a physical therapist for a professional, collegiate, or high school sports team after graduation.

“Being a physical therapist allows me to be on the team, but not on the field,” he said. “That is my sort of ‘shoot for the stars’ type of dream, and my ‘land on the moon’ type of dream is to end up in a great clinic or any other physical therapy facility.”
