Upcoming Spencer Foundation grant program deadlines

The Spencer Foundation posted several upcoming deadlines for grant programs. Please contact the Office of Research and Graduate Education’s pre-award team if you are interested in pursuing any of these opportunities.

Research Grants on Education: Small

• Full proposal deadline: Wednesday, Sept. 1

The Small Research Grants Program supports education research projects that will contribute to the improvement of education, broadly conceived, with budgets up to $50,000 for projects ranging from one to five years. Applications are accepted three times per year.

Conference Grants

• Full proposal deadline: Wednesday, Oct. 13

The Conference Grants Program provides support for scholars to organize small research conferences, focused symposia, or other forms of convenings around important issues in education research. For this funding cycle, Spencer will support conferences related to the topic of critical issues in advancing racial equity in education research. The budget limit is $50,000.

Research-Practice Partnership Grants

• Intent to apply deadline: Wednesday, Nov. 10
• Full proposal deadline: Wednesday, Dec. 8

The Research-Practice Partnership Grants Program is intended to support education research projects that engage in collaborative and participatory partnerships with project budgets up to $400,000 and durations of up to three years.
