Alumna Joy Harden Bradford featured in Georgia Magazine
Joy Harden Bradford (Ph.D. ’06), an alumna of the Department of Counseling and Human Development Services, was recently featured in a Q&A by Georgia Magazine.
Bradford enjoys listening to podcasts. So much, in fact, that she created her own: Therapy for Black Girls, a weekly chat about mental wellness and personal development geared toward Black women.
“One of the largest misconceptions about mental health is that therapy is only helpful if you’re in a crisis,” she said. “A lot of crises could be avoided if more people looked at therapy as preventive work.”
