Bub selected to participate in UGA’s research team workshop series

Kristen Bub, a professor in the Department of Educational Psychology, was recently selected to participate in UGA’s Leading Large Integrative Research Team (L2-IRT) Workshop Series. Bub is one of 12 participants selected for the 2021-22 academic year cohort.

Hosted by the UGA Office of Research, L2-IRT is a workshop series designed to help faculty develop the skills needed to create and manage large, integrative research teams. Members of each cohort learn best practices in leadership, team science, and organizational strategy research.

“Being accepted into this program is such an honor,” Bub said. “I am excited to learn from experts and colleagues at UGA. I know the work I will do following this program will be so much stronger. Being accepted into the program also reinforces the importance of the work we are doing to improve the mental health and well-being of our educators and students.”

Diggs represents UGA at Phi Kappa Phi Student Vice President Leadership Summit

David Diggs (Ph.D. ’23), a doctoral student in the Department of Kinesiology, represented UGA at the Phi Kappa Phi Student Vice President Leadership Summit last month.

Founded in 1897, Phi Kappa Phi is a multidisciplinary honor society that recognizes and promotes academic excellence in all fields of higher education and engages the community of scholars in service to others.

The Leadership Summit provided more than 50 student leaders from the U.S., Guam, and the Philippines with the opportunity to increase their knowledge of Phi Kappa Phi and connect with their peers through small group discussions. In addition, the students learned about their strengths and leadership capacities and created strategies for increasing chapter visibility and member engagement.

“The summit was an exciting time to engage in divergent conversations with creative, passionate student leaders to create change on our campuses and in our communities," Diggs said.
