Update on UGA University Health Center surveillance testing

The UGA University Health Center (UHC) surveillance testing criteria have been updated to include any asymptomatic faculty, staff, or student who wishes to get a test, regardless of vaccination status. Previously, only unvaccinated employees could be tested.

Anyone who wishes to be tested can be tested with the saliva-based PCR test run at the CLIA-approved UGA Vet Diagnostic Lab. Please register using the COVID-19 Surveillance Testing Portal. Please note that symptomatic employees cannot be tested on campus; they must seek testing in the community. Local testing options can be viewed on the College of Public Health’s website. Students who are symptomatic may be tested at the UHC.
