Attend a workshop on social emotional learning on Oct. 21

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Social Emotional Learning Reconceptualizing Teacher Education Steering Committee invites faculty and staff to attend “Creating a Shared Understanding of Social Emotional Learning” on Thursday, Oct. 21.

This workshop will include an overview of social emotional learning (SEL) and its relevance to teaching at UGA, teacher preparation and educator leadership programs, and school districts. The workshop is offered based in response to the feedback received from the DEI and SEL survey completed at the end of the spring 2021 semester. This workshop is the first in a series of workshops to be offered during the 2021-2022 academic year to create a better understanding of SEL, its significance to our work as faculty, staff, and students, and its relevance to DEI.
