  • Date: Tuesday, Nov. 2
  • Time: 1-2 p.m.
  • Location: Aderhold Hall Room 581

Creating and maintaining inclusive and equitable learning spaces for all students is critical to the College’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. During this session hosted by the DEI Office, Allison Nealy, department head of the Department of Language and Literacy Education and clinical professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Special Education, will address potential barriers that exist to learning and engagement.

Participants will engage in a simulation of these barriers and discuss how they could impact learning. Strategies for creating an accessible learning environment will be presented with opportunities for discussion in small groups.
