Join the 14-Day Writing Challenge

The National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity (NCFDD) is offering a 14-Day Writing Challenge from Oct. 18-31. The registration deadline is **Wednesday, Oct. 13.**

The 14-Day Writing Challenge is an opportunity for faculty to experiment with daily writing in a supportive environment with a little daily dose of electronic love from the NCFDD.

NCFDD encourages participants to write for 30 minutes every day (Monday-Friday) for two weeks. Participants will have access to WriteNow, group accountability, and productivity-tracking software that support writing and foster engagement with the 14-Day Writing Challenge community. Faculty can learn more about the challenge on the [NCFDD website](https://www.facultydiversity.org/14-day-challenge).

UGA is an institutional member of NCFDD, and faculty can claim a free membership by visiting the [organization’s website](https://www.facultydiversity.org/14-day-challenge). Under the “Services” menu, select “Institutional Members,” then click on the University of Georgia link. Be sure to use your UGA email address to create an account. There are a variety of resources available on the website related to succeeding in academia.

Doctoral students can also claim a free membership, which gives them access to the same resources as well as to the Dissertation Success Program for free.
