Nominations for UGA awards due Oct. 11

Nominations for UGA awards should be submitted to the Office of Faculty and Staff Services by 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 11. Dossiers should be submitted as a single PDF file via an email attachment to Takenya Moore. The Awards Committee will not review late or incomplete dossiers.

The nomination and selection process varies for University-wide awards. For more information related to eligibility, the application process, and submission requirements, please visit the College’s internal resources website.

Richard B. Russell Undergraduate Teaching Award

  • Eligibility: Tenure-track faculty engaged in undergraduate instruction who have been at the University a minimum of three years at the time of the actual award and who have been in a tenure-track position for a total of no more than 10 years.

Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professorships

  • Eligibility: Individuals who have held tenure-track faculty positions for at least five years.

University Professorship

  • Eligibility: Nominations for these awards come from the Dean. If you have a nominee to suggest, please contact Dean Denise Spangler.
