Apply to UGA's 2021-2022 Parents Leadership Council Grants Program by Nov. 19

  • Application deadline: Friday, Nov. 19

Faculty and staff, applications for the Parents Leadership Council (PLC) grant are now open to programs and initiatives in all schools, colleges, and units that support undergraduate student needs. The grant application be found on UGA’s website.

Last year, the PLC Grants Committee awarded $625,000 to 69 student organizations as well as the President’s Venture Fund.

Are there need-based scholarships in your school or college in need of funding, or perhaps study abroad and experiential learning funds? Have faculty members or student organizations reached out to you recently with a funding need? Examples of past grant recipients are included in the attached document, as well as the brief list below:

  • Let All the Big Dawgs Eat meal plan scholarships
  • Senior design capstone projects in the College of Engineering
  • Small Satellite Research Lab
  • AdPR Academy in the Grady College
  • Franklin College Student Ambassadors Program
  • Office of Service-Learning Campus Kitchen Food Trailer

The hope is that the Grants Program exposes PLC members to funding opportunities across campus and that members will consider supporting these initiatives (or others) beyond their annual PLC gift. The PLC Grants Program opens the door to future major gift conversations with parent donors, and we would like to see as many schools and colleges represented in this year’s awards as possible.

Please reach out to UGA’s development and alumni relations team with any questions or ideas.
