Media mention: Doctoral student co-facilitates 'Teach the Truth Thursdays' workshops
Amelia Wheeler (B.S.Ed. ’12, Ph.D. ’24), a doctoral student in the College’s social studies education program, serves as a co-facilitator for a series of workshops with the Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement called “Teach the Truth Thursdays.”
She was recently featured in an interview with WUGA news anchor Alexia Ridley about those workshops and how the group is working with local educators to teach the truth about racism and other forms of oppression.
