Announcing design changes to College website

Happy New Year! We are pleased to announce the launch of a refreshed design of the College website.

There are no significant text/content changes, but design and layout changes are reflected across the entire site and will better align with the University’s brand guidelines.

All content is now centered in the new design, which means no more “sidebars” or side menus. The “table of contents” links that were previously on the upper right side of most pages have been replaced with “On this page” dropdown menus at the top of pages (just below header photos, where present).

A few of other minor changes worth noting:

  • Research grants and outreach programs are no longer listed by default on department homepages. These listings can still be found in the “Research and Outreach” areas of the site and by search. If your department feels strongly about incorporating them in some way on your department page, please email Jared Brown.
  • Faculty and staff links on degree pages have also moved slightly to be included with information about advisors.
  • The site also now offers a “dark mode” option that automatically activates when a person’s device is also in dark mode. You can toggle between modes using the sun/moon icons in the topmost menu.

Some page URLs will change, so be sure to double check any bookmarks you have saved or any links you send out.

Please take a moment to review the pages relevant to you or your program. We have taken great care when migrating content into the new system, but this process also involves manually manipulating hundreds of pages worth of data, so mistakes are possible. If you notice any missing or incorrect information, please email Jared or submit a web ticket.
