Media mention: Stewart quoted in Patch on restocking during severe weather

Alan Stewart, professor and graduate coordinator in the Department of Counseling and Human Development Services, was quoted in a Patch story examining why people stock up on essentials like milk, bread, and toilet paper ahead of snowstorms.

The story quoted Stewart’s 2017 study on the subject.

“It probably is fear of, one, not knowing how long the event is going to last, and two, do people have everything they need?” Stewart said.
