Please mark your calendars and join us for the 17th annual Mary Frances Early College of Education Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Conference. The theme is “The Time is Now: Moving from Awareness to Action.”

Benjamin Reese, a clinical psychologist and president of BenReese, LLC., will deliver the keynote address and provide historical context to generate an understanding of the impact of racism on present-day social justice issues. Additionally, he will emphasize how implicit bias impedes our ability to make meaningful change. Reese will offer solutions for creating more equitable K-12 and higher education environments.

Following Reese’s keynote address, there will be breakout sessions focused on the conference theme and a conversation with Athens community leaders.

This event is free and open to UGA students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members. Registration information will be available soon.

If you have any questions, please email the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
