UGA joins research participant platform ResearchMatch

The University of Georgia is now a member institution of ResearchMatch, an online tool to help researchers conducting health-related human research studies with participant recruitment.

Developed by institutions affiliated with the Clinical and Translational Science Awards Consortium and maintained at Vanderbilt University, ResearchMatch is a national registry matching researchers and potential study volunteers across the country.

UGA researchers conducting clinical, biomedical, translational, and socio-behavioral research studies with health-related outcomes or focus are eligible to use ResearchMatch at no cost. To use ResearchMatch as a recruitment method for a new or previously approved Institutional Review Board study, a researcher must complete and submit the ResearchMatch Researcher Request Form for IRB approval. The Researcher Request Form and accompanying ResearchMatch Researcher Guide may be accessed from the IRB Portal Library, under the “General” tab.

The guide describes the steps for creating a new user account, obtaining IRB approval for new and already approved studies, and registering a study in the RM portal after obtaining IRB approval, along with links to short YouTube tutorials.

Additional information, links, and contact information for Benilda Pooser, UGA ResearchMatch liaison, are posted on the UGA Office of Research website.
