Apply for the Bobbi Meeler Sahm Award for Service and Outreach by Feb. 21

Bobbi Sahm was born and raised in Athens, Georgia. In 2021, Ms. Sahm and her family created a fund to support public service and outreach efforts conducted by partnerships between UGA and Athens-Clarke County organizations. President Morehead also moved discretionary funds into this initiative to positively impact the quality of life of residents of Athens-Clarke County.
UGA units or departments whose faculty and/or staff are partnering with an Athens-Clarke County organization on programs addressing the following issues are encouraged to apply:
- Public health and well-being
- Prek-12 education
- Disadvantaged youth
- Childhood and adult literacy
- Civic engagement
- Public safety
A decision will be made by the end of March for awards up to $10,000. Please view the application and guidelines on UGA’s Public Service and Outreach website.
