  • Application deadline: Monday, Feb. 28

The University of Georgia is committed to the professional and career development of staff. The Engage and Learn Grant Program provides staff with an opportunity to further their growth and development. Amounts of up to $1,000 per individual or $2,000 per group of two or more are awarded for professional development costs related to the applicant’s job and/or career goals.

The program is administered by the Office of the President and UGA Human Resources in partnership with the University Staff Council. The grant application be found on UGA’s Engage and Learn website.

Successful applications should include:

  • Appropriate and adequate explanation of the value to the employee, unit (if applicable), and UGA.

Development activities should relate to your career development goals and assist you in advancing within your current role or qualifying for a new position at UGA.
  • Disclosure of any additional financial support anticipated—internal, departmental, college or school, and/or external.
  • A budget with the portion of the activity to be funded by the Engage and Learn Grant Program clearly designated.
