Registration is now open for the 17th annual Mary Frances Early College of Education Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Conference. This year’s theme is “The Time is Now: Moving from Awareness to Action.”
Benjamin Reese, a clinical psychologist and president of BenReese, LLC., will deliver the keynote address and provide historical context to generate an understanding of the impact of racism on present-day social justice issues. Additionally, he will emphasize how implicit bias impedes our ability to make meaningful changes and offer solutions for creating more equitable K-12 and higher education environments.
This event is open to UGA students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members. Registration is free, but you must register by Wednesday, Feb. 9, to receive access to the sessions.
