Attend the Tri-Alpha Induction Ceremony on April 22
On Friday, April 22, the University of Georgia will be inducting faculty, staff, and students into UGA’s chapter of Alpha Alpha Alpha (Tri-Alpha), a national honor society that recognizes the academic achievements of first-generation college students.
UGA invites eligible faculty and staff to be inducted into Tri-Alpha and to have the opportunity to engage with UGA’s current first-generation students.
To qualify:
- You must have earned at least a bachelor’s degree
- Neither of your parents (nor stepparents nor legal guardians) completed a bachelor’s degree prior to your completing one (if they completed a bachelor’s degree subsequent to yours, that does not matter for this purpose)
- You must be serving in higher education at the time of your induction
If you are interested in joining Tri-Alpha, please complete this form by Monday, Feb. 28.
Regardless of whether you join Tri-Alpha, the University encourages all faculty and staff to visit UGA’s First Gen website, which is a community space and resource portal for first-generation students and those who support them.
Please contact our team with any questions.
