Kudos: McArthur awarded AERA grant; Doctoral students honored with President's Fulfilling the Dream Awards

McArthur awarded Anti-Racist Teaching and Teacher Education Seed Grant

Sherell McArthur, an associate professor in the Department of Educational Theory and Practice, and a co-primary investigator from Wayne State University, were awarded the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Division K Anti-Racist Teaching and Teacher Education Seed Grant, in the amount of $15,000, to explore the career sustaining philosophies and practices of Black women career teachers.

Doctoral students honored with President’s Fulfilling the Dream Awards

Rosa Arroyo Driggers and Carl Miller, doctoral students in the Department of Lifelong Education, Administration, and Policy, were recently recognized as President’s Fulfilling the Dream Award winners at the 2022 Martin Luther King, Jr. Freedom Breakfast.
