The 2022 Global Educational Forum, now in its 16th year, illustrates how sport serves as a powerful vehicle of social change, showcasing examples of its role in positive social, economic, and cultural developments in the Global South, while demonstrating how social institutions like local, regional, or international governments need to address challenges to help underprivileged and marginalized communities meet social welfare goals and promote human rights.

The theme of the forum is “Sport, Development, and Culture in the Global South: Impact and Challenges of Globalization.” Keynote speakers for this year’s forum include:
