UGA Libraries Women's History Month events
This month, the UGA Libraries’ Lucy Hargrett Draper Center and Archive for the Study of Women in History and Law is co-sponsoring a number of events with the Institute for Women’s Studies.
Each week, participants can stream a new film or documentary for free centered on the lives and activism of women:
- March 21-25: “A Normal Girl”
- March 28-April 1: “Feed the Green: Feminist Voices for the Earth”
In addition to these films, Stephanie Evans will deliver the UGA Women’s History Month virtual keynote lecture, titled “Black Women’s #HistoricalWellness: Traditions of Connecting Self-Care to Social Justice” on Tuesday, March 29 at 4 p.m. (register today). Evans is a professor of Black women’s studies, faculty member in the Institute for Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, and affiliate faculty in the Department of Africana Studies at Georgia State University.
Please reach out to Jess Brown or Terri Hatfield in the Institute for Women’s Studies with questions.
