Mandatory cybersecurity awareness training due April 29

The University System of Georgia requires all its employees, including student workers, to complete cybersecurity awareness training twice annually in April and October.

This professionally developed training is conducted online through KnowBe4 and provides a comprehensive education on good cybersecurity practices.

To complete the mandatory April training:

  • Log into the KnowBe4 Portal with your UGA MyID and password
  • Once on the training homepage, you should see the UGA logo near the upper left portion of the training window
  • If you have not completed the training, a course named Security Awareness Fundamentals will be available
  • Click the red “Start” button to begin
  • To advance through the training, click the “Next” button at the conclusion of each slide
  • At the end of the training, you will be prompted to take a short quiz
  • Once your training is complete, you can download a certificate of achievement if desired

The Security Awareness Fundamentals course should require approximately 15 minutes to complete. Faculty, staff, and student employees who have questions about the training should contact the EITS Help Desk via email or phone at 706-542-3106.
