Media mention: CABER referenced in Red & Black for Autism Acceptance Month

The Center for Autism and Behavioral Education Research (CABER), housed in the Mary Frances Early College of Education, was included in a recent Red & Black article highlighting Autism Acceptance Month.

Ashley Johnson Harrison, associate professor and program coordinator in the Mary Frances Early College of Education’s Department of Educational Psychology, CABER, and the School Psychology Clinic, spoke on the difficulties neurodiverse students face when adapting to a new environment in college.

“The struggles come in the form of navigating social challenges and the challenge of potentially living independently for the first time,” she said.
