Chapman-Hilliard Selected as a Senior Teaching Fellow

Collette Chapman-Hilliard, associate professor in the Department of Counseling and Human Development Services, was selected as a Senior Teaching Fellow by UGA’s Center for Teaching and Learning.

This prestigious fellowship includes a grant to support strengthening courses and teaching methods, student academic success, and instructional development. She will be collaborating in this work with other dedicated, highly motivated, and innovative teachers from other disciplines at UGA.

Zhai receives UGA Learning Technologies Grant

Xiaoming Zhai, assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies Education, received a UGA Learning Technologies Grant award.

This award will provide Zhai with $25,000 to support a one-year collaborative project with colleagues at the Odum School of Ecology. His project is titled “New Assessments to Support Active Learning Opportunities for Students in Large-Enrollment Environmental Science Courses Using Machine Learning.”
