Tyler Skinner (Ph.D. ’24), a doctoral student in the Department of Kinesiology’s sport management program, spoke with GPB about the impact of the Savannah Bananas baseball team.
The team has amassed a large following on TikTok and incorporates business choices like no paid parking and no advertising in the ballpark.
“Looking at how the Bananas are able to really fasten the pace of play in their games, that’s something that I think organizations and leagues are really going to start looking at,” Skinner said.
