Attend the Brain Health Seminar Series with Michael Borich on Aug. 31

The Department of Kinesiology, along with the Institute of Gerontology and Athens Presbyterian Village, will be hosting the Brain Health Seminar Series: On the Move-Brain Health and Movement Disorders.
The aim of this series is to provide educational knowledge to students and faculty at UGA on the current research frontiers in the neuroscience of human movement.
The first seminar will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 31 with Michael Borich. Borich is an associate professor and associate director of research in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Emory University, as well as the associate director of the Emory Neural Engineering Center. He will speak about brain plasticity and motor learning.
An applied presentation, titled “Aging-Related Changes in Motor Function: Strategies to ‘Turn Back the Clock,'” and a discussion will be held at 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian Village.
