Welcome new staff member

September brings a new face to the College’s Curriculum Materials Library (CML).

Carla Wilson Buss, the current CML librarian, is retiring effective Thursday, Sept. 1 after 25 years of service with the UGA Libraries. Congratulations and thank you for your years of service, Carla!

The new CML librarian, Kelsey Forester (M.Ed. ’23), comes to the College from the UGA Science Library. She received her master’s degree in information, specializing in school library media and library and information science, from the University of Michigan School of Information.

Forester earned teaching certificates in K-12 school library media and 6-12 biology from the University of Michigan School of Education and worked in public school libraries (K-12) as well as educational programming at Ann Arbor District Library in Michigan for about five years. In 2018, she came to UGA as a science research and instruction librarian and is currently in her last semester in the College for her master’s degree in educational psychology (applied cognition and development).

Please welcome her to the Mary Frances Early College of Education!
