Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion completions
Embracing Diversity celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion on Thursday, Oct. 20. Embracing Diversity is a celebration of our collective strides toward inclusive excellence at the University of Georgia.
During the event, this year’s faculty recipient of the Dawn D. Bennett-Alexander Inclusive Community Award was recognized, as well as student recipients of the Diversity and Black Alumni Scholarships and faculty and staff graduates of the Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion (CDI).
While numerous members of the Mary Frances Early College of Education have completed and/or are in the process of completing CDI, we are particularly excited to celebrate CDI completions between October 2021 and October 2022. We join in celebrating the CDI completions of:
- Allie Cox, clinical assistant professor, Department of Lifelong Education, Administration, and Policy
- Sofia Ivanova, academic professional associate, Department of Language and Literacy Education
- Camille Reynolds, assistant dean for diversity, equity, and inclusion, Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
- Emily Robinson, academic advisor, Office of Undergraduate Advising
- Drew Sanford, academic advisor, Office of Undergraduate Advising
The names of these team members were included in the printed program of the event, and those present for the event were also recognized during the ceremony.
